Also in the household was one young female house servant.
- The following appeared on 10 September 1911 in The Montgomery Advertiser: (Uniontown, Sept. 9) Mr. John Shahan of Faunsdale, died Thursday, after an illness of about a week. Interment was at St. Michaels Cemetery.
Mr. Shahan was a prominent farmer of Marento and leaves a wife and eight children, Mrs. George Nixon of East Orange, N. J., Miss Elizabeth Shahan of Nashville, Tenn., Clifton Shahan of Mississippi and Mrs. R. D. Drake, Misses Evelyn and Nell Shahan of Faunsdale. He was about 65 years old. - The following appeared on 2 June 1912 in The Montgomery Advertiser: (Faunsdale) Mrs. F. B. Jackson and Miss Elizabeth Shahan spent Friday in Selma. . . . Misses Nell Shahan and Louise Adams attended the picnic in Gallion Thursday.
- The following appeared on 22 September 1912 in The Montgomery Advertiser: (Faunsdale) Misses Louise Adams, Nell and Evelyn Shahan returned Saturday from Marion Junction where they spent a week with relatives and friends.
Miss Nell Shahan left Monday to enter the A. N. C. for the next term.
Mr. B. C. Adams spent Sunday with his mother.
. . . Miss Julia McKnight, who leaves Thursday for the Marion Seminary, entertained quite a number of her friends at a dance on Tuesday night. Those present were Misses Bailey, Tellman, Moseley, Brown, Florence Bell, Louise Adams, Dollins, Messrs. Heyward and Windsor Spinks, Hugh Brown, Jim Torbert, Walter Bailey, R. Harris. - She married Peter Alba Trice, son of Troupe Trice and Martha Jane Rainey, circa 30 December 1917 in Marengo County, Alabama.
- Nell Shahan became a widow at the 16 January 1942 death of her husband Peter Alba Trice Jr.
- Nell Shahan died on 8 May 1995 at age 100.
- She was interred at Choctaw Corner Cemetery, Thomasville, Clarke County, Alabama.
