Erwin, 67, father of a family of baseball players, who died Thursday morning at his home, 3812 Colonial avenue, were held Friday afternoon at the chapel of the Charles F. Welland Undertaking Company with burial in Grove Hill Cemetery. He is survived by his wife and six sons, R. E., Tom, J. P., W. H., and Hal Erwin of Dallas, and B. E. Erwin of St. Augustine, Fla. Tom Erwin, a former player in the East Texas League, is umpiring in the Texas League and W. H. Erwin is an umpire in the Western Association, R. E. Irwin formerly played with Brooklyn.
