• Nancy Jane Powell appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1880 in Forney, Kaufman County, Texas, and three boarders.. Other members of the household included Laura Ann Boles, James Brantley Boles and John A. Boles.
• She married Hiram P. Erwin, son of William H. Erwin and Jemima A. Voss, on 8 February 1885 in Kaufman County, Tennessee.
• Laura Ann Boles appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1900 in Forney, Kaufman County, Texas, and also two boarders, living not far from her sister Alice.. Other members of the household included Ross Emil Erwin, Thomas Buckley Erwin, Powell Erwin, William Hiram Erwin and Edwin I. Erwin.

Erwin, Hal Erwin, Ross Emil Erwin, Frank Dick Erwin, Nancy Jane Powell, Hiram P. Erwin, Willis Eason Wood, Hannah Ross and Hannah Marguerite Wood.
• She was proprietor of a boarding house, according to the 1910 census.
• She was interred at Hillcrest Cemetery, Forney, Kaufman County, Texas.
• Laura Ann Boles died on 12 January 1964 at age 98 in Dallas, Texas.
• She was interred at Grove Hill Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.
• The following appeared on 14 January 1964 in the Dallas Morning News: Laura Ann Erwin, 5439 Lindsley. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Graveside services and interment 11 a.m. Tuesday, Grove Hill Cemetery, Rev. C. C. Phillips officiating. Restland Funeral Home, Greenville at Valley View.
