Many of her father's and husband's old friends met her last Winter while on a visit to her relative, Mrs. John Neal, of this city. Among them was Col. William H. Sparks, he of the 'Memories of Fifty Years,' who had not met her since her bridal night, when he acted as one of the attendants."
