• Daniel Ireland was born circa 1793 in Maryland.
• He married Margaret Cochran, daughter of John Cochran and Susana (?), on 15 September 1812 in Williamson County, Tennessee.
• Daniel Ireland and Margaret Cochran appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1830 in Williamson County, Tennessee. Other (counted but unnamed) members of the household apparently included Samuel S. Ireland, Elenor S. Ireland, Jane Ireland and Elizabeth Ireland.
• Daniel Ireland and Margaret Cochran appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1840 in Robertson County, Tennessee. Other (counted but unnamed) members of the household apparently included Samuel S. Ireland, Adaline Ireland, Elenor S. Ireland and Jane Ireland.
• Daniel Ireland and Margaret Cochran appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1850 in Robertson County, Tennessee, and also Kentucky-born Daniel Ireland, age 12, and laborer John Collins, and living very near Thomas Barham and his family.. Other members of the household included Samuel S. Ireland, Jane Ireland, Elenor S. Ireland and Adaline Ireland.
• He was a farmer, according to the 1850 census.
• At the time of the 1840 census Margaret was about 47 years old, and only the known children were in the household. In 1850, 12-year-old Kentucky-born Daniel Ireland is enumerated in the household of Daniel and Margaret Ireland, and Martha and Cornelia Ireland (ages 6 and 4, respectively, also born in Kentucky) are enumerated in the next household, of Silas and Francis Thomas. While there is possible that the two girls may have been Samuel's children from his first marriage, that still does not account for young Daniel.
• His wife Margaret Cochran became a widow at his death.
• Daniel Ireland died between 1850 and 1870.
