Hart's Mortuary, Macon is in charge. /P/ Mr. Felton died Wednesday, June 30, 1999 in a local hospital. Born March 23, 1920, he was a son of the late Luisa Gibson and William Hamilton Felton Jr. He was educated in Macon and attended the University of Ga., where he was a member of SAE fraternity. Mr. Felton served in World War II in the U.S. Army Air Corps as an officer and as a pilot with the 66th Troop Carrier Squadron of the Fifth Air Force, attaining the rank of Captain. He served in the South Pacific Theatre and was awarded the Air Medal and the Distinguished Flying Cross. After the war, Mr. Felton was a peach grower in Houston County for 38 years. A lifelong communicant of Christ Episcopal Church, he served on the vestry and was senior warden. He was a member of the Idle Hour Golf Country Club. Mr. Felton was predeceased by his brother, William Hamilton Felton III. /P/ Surviving are his wife, Ann Corn Felton of Macon, Ga; children, Louisa Macgill Felton of Macon, Ga., Polly Pierce Felton Morrison of Columbia, Anne Tracy Felton Moore of Marietta, Ga; grandchildren, George Felton Moore, Arthur Lee Moore III, Polly Macgill Moore, all of Marietta, Ga., James Hamilton Morrison, William Felton Morrison, both of Columbia.
