- Madge Matilda Smith was born on 5 March 1912.
- She married Jarrell Weston Davis, son of William Weston Davis and Lou Anna Ward.
- She was empoyed as a trained nurse in hospital service, according to the 1940 census.
- Jarrell Weston Davis registered for the draft on 16 October 1940 in Rapides Parish, Louisiana, while living with his wife Madge at 1821-1/2 Monroe Street in Alexandria, and employed there by Blu-Ribbon Dairies at 9th & Jackson.
- The following appeared on 13 July 1951 in The Daily Courier-Gazette: Mr. and Mrs. Will M. Smith, prominent residents of near Frisco, recently celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary. They were united in marriage at the home of Mrs. Smith's parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Hennen at Garza, Denton County, and for a number of years were residents of Denton.
They are the parents of two daughters and one son as follows: Mrs. Leroy McLendon of Nacogdoches and Mrs. Jarrell W. Davis of Dallas; Charles Hennen Smith of Klamath Falls, Oregon. - Madge Matilda Smith became a widow at the 26 October 1960 death of her husband Jarrell Weston Davis.
- The following appeared on 28 October 1960 in The Denton Record-Chronicle: (Livermore, Calif.) Jarrell Weston Davis of Livermore, Calif., a forrmer Denton resident, died in his home Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. He was 53.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the First Methodist Church in Frisco. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Frisco, under direction of Staley Funeral Home.
Born in Malakoff, Mr. Davis attended Denton public schools and married Miss Madge Smith of Frisco. He moved to Livermore in 1952.
Survivors include his widow; one brother, Whitten Davis of Pineville, La; one aunt, Mrs. R. D. Fleming of Corsicana; and a niece, Miss Theresa Ann Davis of Pineville, La. - Madge Matilda Smith died on 11 September 1984 at age 72.
- She was interred at Ridgeview West Memorial Park, Frisco, Collin County, Texas.
