Mr. and Mrs. Henry Richardson [Pansy Ward Richardson] of San Antonio, who were on their vacation, were turned back and came in Friday night. Blake Ward of Fort Worth, Mr. and Mrs. Edd Ward of Streetman, and his brothers, Walter and Roy Swink were here to attend the funeral.

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Corley Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. James N. Morgan will officiate and burial will be in Frost Cemetery. The body will lie in state from Sunday afternoon.
He is survived by his wife of Fort Worth; two sons, Robert N. Green, Fort Worth and Ethan C. Green, Dallas; three daughters, Mrs. Jerome Winstead, Corpus Christi; Mrs. Clyde Sikes, Graford; and Mrs. Shelby Burke, Odessa; and 10 grandchildren. - Alpha Earl Swink died on 22 February 2000 at age 83 in Odessa, Ector County, Texas, at Medical Center Hospital.

- She was interred at Elm Grove Cemetery, Alpine, Brewster County, Texas.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Philip McLarty officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Elm Grove Cemetery in Alpine.
She was born Aug. 21, 1916, in Richland. She married Shelby Burke June 5, 1948, in Alpine.
Mrs. Burke is a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, Shelby Burke of Odessa; son, Charles H. Mills and wife, Debra Kay, of Paint Rock; two grandchildren, Kristi Guyer and husband, Greg, and Kelly Edmiston and husband, Brian; and great-granddaughter, Katie Edmiston.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. - The following appeared on 13 July 2006 in The Odessa American: Marvin Shelby Burke, 84, a longtime resident of Odessa passed away Monday, July 10, 2006 at his residence. He was born April 23, 1922 in San Antonio.
He was a retired Insurance salesman and had worked for American National Life Insurance Co. for thirty years. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII. He married Alpha Earl Swink June 5, 1948 in Alpine. She preceded him in death in 2000. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his son, Charles Mills & wife Debra of Paint Rock, (2) grandchildren and (3) great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 13, 2006 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home with Rev. Nora Fitch officiating. Graveside service will be 4:00 p.m. Thursday at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Alpine with Rev. Jo Beth McLeod officiating.
