She married Louis Goodridge on 20 August 1898 in Hays County, Texas.
She married Maxie C. Baldtrip, son of Hampton and Celia, on 30 December 1922 in Muskogee County, Oklahoma, by license issued the 28th, with Br. R. C. Connery, Missionary Baptist, officiating. Witnesses were N. H. Oakley and Ben Roberson. (Sarah's name recorded as Sarah G. Goodridge.)
Maxie C. Baldtrip and Sarah Sampson appeared in the US federal census of 1 April 1930 in Darling Township, Muskogee, Oklahoma. Other members of the household included Maxie Charles Walton. Also in the household were three of Sarah's Goodridge children from an earlier marriage, and hired hand Jim Perkins. Grandson Maxie Walton also is enumerated with his mother in Washington County.

Also in the household were daughter Elizabeth "Goodrich" (age 24), grandson Marshall "Goodrich" (13) and granddaughter Annie R. Martin (5). All were living in the same house in 1935. Mrs. Sarah Baldtrip appeared at the same address in the 1938, 1940 and 1942 Muskogee city directories.
