• Margaret Jane Meyer was born on 7 March 1870 in Illinois.
• She married William Frederick Schmermund, son of Johann Henrich Schmiermund and Sophia Hildegard Schmidt, on 16 March 1887.
• William Frederick Schmermund and Margaret Jane Meyer appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1900 in St. Louis, Missouri, at 2821 Ranshenbach Avenue. Other members of the household included Anna Imogene Schmermund, Caroline Josephine Schmermund, Cecille May Schmermund, Florence Edna Schmermund, Ethel Schmermund and Mildred Schmermund.
• William Frederick Schmermund and Margaret Jane Meyer appeared in the US federal census of 15 April 1910 in St. Louis, Missouri, at 4955 Eastern Avenue. • The following appeared on 17 December 1918 in the Jonesboro Evening Sun: The remains of Mrs. Mary G. Schmermund, wife of William J. Schmermund, who died at their home at Tulot, Ark., arrived via the Frisco today, and were carried to the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. Vogt on West Washington Avenue, where the funeral will be held this afternoon at 2:00, conducted by Rev. William Sherman, pastor of the First Methodist Church. Interment will be at Westlawn cemetery. Miss Ethel, a daughter of the deceased, is in the employ of I. Goldstein, also another daughter works at Woolworth's 5 & 10c store.
