Foushee of Durham, Miss Ida Morrison of Raleigh, Miss Emily Hammond of West Virginia, Miss Susanne Pegues of Greenville, SC. - He married Jennie May Pegues, daughter of Francis Preston Brooks Pegues and Jennie May Pegues, on 26 October 1922.
- The following appeared on 29 October 1922 in the Charlotte Sunday Observer: (Wilmington, Oct. 28) A marriage of much interest to friends in Wilmington and elsewhere in the state, and in South Carolina, occurred Thursday, when Miss Jennie May Pegues, of Pollock, S. C., became the bride of Paul F. Hammond, a son of Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Hammond, now of Welch, W. V., but for many years residents of Wilmington. Mr. Hammond is pleasantly remembered here, where he spent all of childhood and early boy boyhood.
