• Sarah Patterson Scott was born on 7 December 1807 in Kentucky or Kentucky.

• Samuel May Williams and Sarah Patterson Scott appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1850 in Galveston, Texas, enumerated next to Michel and Rebecca Menard.. Other members of the household included Joseph Victoria Williams, Austin May Williams, Mary Dorothea Williams, Caroline Lucy Williams, Samuel May Williams Jr. and William Howell Williams.
• Sarah Patterson Scott became a widow at the 13 September 1858 death of her husband Mary Frances Goree.
• Sarah Patterson Scott appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1860 in Galveston, Texas, Also in the household is May Scott, age 30, probably a niece. Note that widow Sarah Patterson Williams, her son William & wife Eddie were enumerated twice in 1860, in Galveston (actual date 15 July) and in Bastrop (actual date 3 September). They probably joined Austin Williams there in the fall of 1860.. Other members of the household included Mary Dorothea Williams.
• Austin May Williams and Mary Anna Adams appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1860 in Bastrop, Bastrop County, Texas, Note that Sarah Williams, her son William and wife Eddie were enumerated twice in 1860, in Galveston (actual date 15 July) and in Bastrop (actual date 3 September). Apparently they joined Austin Williams there during late summer of 1860.. Other members of the household included Sarah Patterson Scott, Sarah Williams and Ann Eliza Williams.
• Sarah Patterson Scott died on 31 August 1860 at age 52 in Galveston, Texas.
• She was interred at Episcopal Cemetery, Galveston, Texas.
• A single grave marker identifies the graves of Samuel May Williams and Sarah Patterson Scott.
