• Mother: Alovice Wunsch b. say 1865, d. 1916

• Anton Lhotak was born on 9 September 1886 in Rokycany, Bohemia.
• He was known as Anthony in the United States.
• He and Alois Lhotak and William Lhotak accompanied Anton Lhotak and Alovice Wunsch to Homberg-Hochheide, Germany, in circa 1902.
• At the age of sixteen, Anton became an apprentice glass blower, an occupation he followed for five years. From the age of 21, because of German military service requirements, he served three years and four months in the cavalry division of the German army. Following his military service, he worked in Germany as a coal miner, during which time he courted Helen Schima.
• He married Helen Schima, daughter of Franz Schima and Maria Herovitsch, on 12 October 1912 in Homberg-Hochheide, Germany.
• It appears that Edward was born while Helen was in Kansas, and that he remained there with his grandparents when Helen rejoined Anton in British Columbia, until the family relocated to Kansas in 1919.
• Anton, Helen and William Lhotak entered the United states on 24 February 1919 at Port Huron, Michigan, to join Helen's father in Pittsburg, Kansas.
• Anton Lhotak and Helen Schima appeared in the US federal census of 1 January 1920 in Washington, Crawford County, Kansas, living near Helen's parents.. Other members of the household included William Howard Lotak and Edward Adam Lotak.
• He was a coal miner, according to the 1920 census.
• In 1923, when work became so scarce in Girard, the family moved to Chicago where Anthony became a stationary fireman for the Ford Motor Company. He worked for Fort until 1925, when he went to work for Plunkett Chemical Company, where he was employed until he retired.
• Anton Lhotak and Helen Schima appeared in the US federal census of 1 April 1930 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, at 917 35th Place. Other members of the household included William Howard Lotak and Edward Adam Lotak.
• He was naturalized on 8 April 1930 by which time Congress had passed a law conferring citizenship on minor children, thus naturalizing William and Edward also.
• He was known as Lotak after his naturalization.
• He was employed as a fireman by a chemical company, according to the 1930 census.
• Anton Lhotak registered for the draft in 1942 while living at 917 West 35th Place in Chicago, and employed there by Plunkett Chemical Company.
• Anton Lhotak became a widower at the 7 May 1959 death of his wife Helen Schima.
• Anton Lhotak died on 5 August 1964 at age 77 in Cook County, Illinois.
