         Mr. Mitchell, a brother of Mrs. Marvin Love and an uncle of Raymond Gray, Greenville, died Monday morning in Kansas City.
         Burial will be in Longview with nephews acting as pallbearers.
         Born and reared in Greenville, Mr. Mitchell was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. G. P. Mitchell. He attended Greenville schools and Texas A. & M. College and for the past 30 years had been a resident of Kansas City where he had served as superintendent of the Coca-Cola Bottling plant.
         He was married to the former Lela Sandifur of Longview.
         Survivors include his widow; one son, J. Dixon Mitchell Jr., Atlanta, Ga; his sister, Mrs. Love; his nephew, Raymond Gray of Greenville and other relatives.
