Edmond
b. circa 1810
- Edmond was born circa 1810 in Alabama and his origins are not known.
- On Monday, 5 August 1850, Green Wood recorded in his plantation daily account book: "Sent the 2 Edmons [Edmon
& Edmon] for Beef to Obanions, got 1/2 beef & spent half a day with them & waggon, 174 lb." - He married Frankey say 1853.
- Following emancipation, Edmond adopted the name Edmond Wood.
- Edmond and Frankey appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1870 in Montgomery County, Texas, living next door to Hansel and Mary Baltrip.. Other members of the household included Gip, Bob, E. B. Edward and Sarah.
- He was a farmer, according to the 1870 census.
