- William Elliott Allcorn appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1850 in Washington County, Texas, and also in the household the following Texas-born male children identified as Allcorns: J. A., age 18, John, age 2, S. A., age 14, and H., age 10, which do not match researchers' published lists of children. It appears that Julia Ann's children from her first marriage were living elsewhere. It is an educated guess that Francis Badley, age 18, was the future wife of Julia Ann's brother Ivy McNeese.
