• The following appeared on 11 September 1940 in the Harlingen Valley Morning Star: J. F. Bay, 59, of Richards, Texs, brother of Mrs. J. M. Cellum, Edcouch, died September 5 at Richards, of a heart ailment; funeral services were held September 6 at Richards.
• A single grave marker identifies the graves of James Foster Bay and Mary Elizabeth Weatherford.
