K. and children Nellie (Jan 1889), Franksis (Jun 1881), Jas or Jno? P. (Oct 1883), Louis (Sept 1884), married ed 23 years, so should be found together in the 1880 census. But 1860 & 1870 censuses have him age 4 & 14. It would be a leap to assume that this is the same person.. Other members of the household included George A. Kaffenberger, Nellie Kaffenberger, Frances Kaffenberger and Lizzie P. Kaffenberger.

- Louis Kaffenberger and Ida (?) appeared in the US federal census of 15 April 1910 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at 2128 Newkirk Street. Other members of the household included George A. Kaffenberger, Marguerite Kaffenberger, Henry George Kaffenberger, Mabel Kaffenberger, George Schaffer Kaffenberger, Olga Kaffenberger and Mary A. (?). It is an educated guess that George A. Kaffenberger is the son of Louis' brother George.

- George A. Kaffenberger and Mary A. (?) appeared in the US federal census of 1 January 1920 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at 2127 North Newkirk Street living near Louis and Ida Kaffenberger.
- He was a streetcar motorman, according to the 1920 census.
