  • George Kaffenberger and Ella (?) appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1900 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at 2358 Van Pelt Street in 1900 Philadelphia possibly carpenter George Kaffinberger, born June 1859, with wife E. K. and children Nellie (Jan 1889), Franksis (Jun 1881), Jas or Jno? P. (Oct 1883), Louis (Sept 1884), married ed 23 years, so should be found together in the 1880 census. But 1860 & 1870 censuses have him age 4 & 14. It would be a leap to assume that this is the same person.. Other members of the household included Lizzie P. Kaffenberger, Nellie Kaffenberger, Frances Kaffenberger and George A. Kaffenberger.

  • She was interred at Glenwood Cemetery, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
  • The following appeared on 17 January 1904 in The Philadelphia Inquirer: [Died] On January 15, 1904, Lizzie P. daughter of George and Ella Kaffenberger, age 19 years 4 months and 14 days. Relatives and friends of the family, also employes of Gimbel Brothers, are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, on Wednesday, January 20 at 4 o'clock, from her parents' residence, 2550 Ridge ave. Body can be viewed Tuesday evening, after 7 o'clock. Interment Glenwood Cemetery.
