Ryan, well known north end contractor, who died recently, was filed for probate with the surrogate at Lockport yesterday. The executor is Edward, a nephew of the testator. The witnesses to the will are Michael J. Kane and Charles S. O'Reilly. The estate is valued at $13,000 real and $15,000 personal. Testator, after directing payment of all just debts, bequeaths the sum of $1,000 to Miss Frances Rieger, a niece. The bulk of the property is left to his widow and after her death to his surviving brothers and sisters or their children. The citation is returnable May 13.

She retired in 1954 from the city assessor's office where she was employed as a clerk for more than 25 years.
She was a native of Niagara Falls and a life-long resident of the North End. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church all her life.
Miss Rieger also was a member of St. Francis Guild, the Ladies of Charity, the Catholic Daughters of America, and the Rosary and Altar Society of Sacred Heart Church.
Survivors include three sisters, Miss Caroline Rieger, this city, Mrs. Oscar Mayer, Lake Worth, Fla., and Mrs. William E. Gallagher, Akron, Ohio, and a brother Wilbur Rieger, this city.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 8:15 a.m. at the Rhoney Funeral Home and at 9 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday. The family will be present from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The Ladies of Charity, the Catholic Daughters of America, and the Rosary-Altar Society, will recite the Rosary at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
