[:CR;]      Mrs. Rieger was born in Lockport, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gustave Peters. She was educated in St. Mary's School and St. Joseph's Academy. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and the Altar and Rosary Society. [:CR;]      Besides her husband, she leaves three sons, Lieut. Francis C. Rieger, U.S. Navy; Staff Sergt. Roger J. Rieger, U.S. Army; and William C. Rieger; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Alice Rieger; a grandson, Michael Rieger; her mother, Mrs. Gustave Peters; three sisters, Mrs. Gregory Wick, Mrs. Vincent Carney and Mrs. Edward Layer; and three brothers, August, Joseph and Edward Peters, all of this vicinity. [:CR;]      Services will be held Thursday at 8:30 at the Gaul Funeral Home, 263 East Ave., and at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

St. Mary's Hospital, Niagara Falls, will be held tomorrow at 8:30 at the Gual Funeral Home, 263 East Ave. and at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
         Mr. Rieger was born in Niagara Falls May 9, 1888. For 50 years he operated a farm on Saunders Settlement Road, Cambria. In 1946 he retired and moved to 45 West Ave., Newfane, where he had since made his home.
         In Cambria Mr. Rieger served as school trustee and welfare officer. He also was on the town election board for a number of years. He was a member of St. Mary's Church, Lockport.
         His wife, Marea Peters Rieger, died in 1945. Surviving are three sons, Francis Rieger, Evanston, Ill; Roger Rieger, Lockport, and William Rieger, Newfane; a daughter, Mrs. Oscar Mayer [sic], Newfane; and four grandchildren.
         There are five sisters, Carrie J., Frances, Agnes and former Surrogate's Clerk Ada C. Rieger, all of Niagara Falls; and Mrs. William Gallagher of Akron, O., and one brother, Wilbur S. Rieger, Niagara Falls.
