- Oliver F. Crossett and Minnie Bell Bush appeared in the US federal census of 1 January 1920 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, New York, at 484 Nineteenth Street. Other members of the household included Ada Pearl Crossett. Also in the household were sons Roy (age 16) and Desmond (8), and daughter and son-in-law Violet (22) and Albert Parrott (25).

- The following appeared on 2 June 1942 in the Niagara Falls Gazette: Stricken suddenly ill in Detroit yesterday, Oliver F. Crossett, 72 years old, of 1160 Whitney avenue, died a short time after he was rushed to a hospital. He was visiting a brother-in-law, Charles H. Bush, at the time. Members of his family here had not learned the cause of his death today.
A native of Canada, Mr. Crossett had resided here for 30 years. He was recently employed by the city. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Minnie D. Crossett, four daughters, Mrs. Colonel W. Ball, Mrs. Howard F. Rieger, Mrs. Fred Shrimpton and Mrs. Gilbert Hill, and a son, Roy Crossett, all of this city, another son, L. Desmond Crossett, of the Town of Lewiston, and a sister, Mrs. James Jamieson, of St. Thomas, Ont.
Funeral services will be held at the Hardison and Beatty chapel at 2:30 p.m. Thursday with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. - The following appeared on 21 September 1945 in the Niagara Falls Gazette: Mrs. Howard Dieger, who graduated with the first Red Cross Volunteer Nurses' Aide class in Niagara Falls just before the United States declaration of war, has been appointed nurses aide co-ordinator at Mount St. Mary's hospital, the Red Cross announced today.
Mrs. Rieger succeeds Mrs. Robert Montgomery who recently resigned this Red Cross post after giving splendid service throughout the war years and carried on in many trying times to keep nurses' aides supplied when and where they were most needed. When emergencies arose and nurses' aides were called upon, Mrs. Montgomery was on the job.
The entire Nurses' Aide committee, with Mrs. John C. McCollum, chairman, has extended its appreciation to Mrs. Montgomery for her untiring efforts, and is equally grateful to Mrs. Rieger for her acceptance of this important post. Mrs. Rieger has an excellent service record , having served nearly 1,000 hours as a volunteer nurses' aide in hospitals during the wartime nursing shortage. - Ada Pearl Crossett became a widow at the 4 April 1951 death of her husband Howard Francis Rieger.
- The following appeared on 4 April 1951 in the Niagara Falls Gazette: Howard F. Rieger, well-known Falls insurance agent and an active member of the BPO Elks, died early today at Mt. St. Mary's hospital after a short illness. A Niagara Falls native, he was 52.
Mr. Rieger, who lived at 941 South avenue and operated an insurance agency with Harry C. Long, had been installed, by proxy, last night as treasurer of Elks Lodge 346.
He was exalted ruler of the Elks from 1933 to 1934 and in 1941 and 1942 was district deputy grand exalted ruler. Mr. Rieger was also a member of the grand lodge scholarship committee of the New York State Elks and a member of the past exalted rulers, exalted rulers and secretaries association of the Elks' New York State West district. He was named treasurer of Lodge 346 in 1949.
He joined the local lodge on January 10, 1929.
Mr. Rieger was born in this city on June 27, 1898, the son of Frank and Lillian L. Rieger. His mother, and his wife, Pearl A. Rieger, survive.
Mr. Rieger also was a member of the Niagara Falls and New York State Insurance associations.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Beatty Funeral home, 1001 Ontario avenue and at 9:45 a.m. at Sacred Heart church. Lodge 346 will hold services at the funeral home at 8:30 p.m. Friday. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven cemetery. - She married Norman Manson Wood, son of John Hubbard Wood and Ann Stewardson, on 11 May 1955 in Brantford, Ontario, Canada, at St. Basil's Church.

The former Mrs. Howard Rieger, Niagara Ave., and the bridegroom were united in marriage at St. Basil's Church, Brantford, Ont., May 11, with the Rev. G. W. Ryan officiating.
The bride wore an aqua suit with pink accessories, complemented with a corsage of pink sweetheart roses. Mrs. Harvey Henry, daughter of the bridegroom, served as matron of honor. She chose a charcoal gray suit with white accessories, and wore a corsage of yellow sweetheart roses. Maj. Harvey Henry served as best man.
A wedding dinner was served at the Kerby Hotel, Brantford, which was followed by a reception for the bridal party and immediate friends at the Bufferin Ave. home of Maj. and Mrsa. Henry, in Brantford. - The following appeared in the Niagara Falls Gazette: [Died] Minnie Belle Crossett, in this city July 7, 1962. Mother of Mrs. Colonel W. (Sylvia) Ball, Albion, N. Y., Mrs. Norman (Pearl) Wood, Tillsonburg, Ont., Mrs. Fred (Violet) Shrimpton, Mrs. Gilbert (Ruby) Hill, Roy B. and L. Desmond Crossett, all of this city. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren. Funeral services Wednesday at 11 a.m. from the Gridley Funeral Home, Inc., 750 Main St., the Rev. Myrtus C. Rice officiating. Interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
