- Peter Dexheimer was born on 10 October 1795 in Biebelnheim, Rheinhessen.
- He married Anna Magdalena Spies circa 1822.
- Peter Dexheimer, accompanied by Philipp Dexheimer and Eva Anna Maria Knecht, departed from the Port of Bremen, Bremen, aboard the steamship Hermann.
- Peter Dexheimer arrived in the Port of New York on 19 June 1869, accompanied by Philipp Dexheimer and Eva Anna Maria Knecht.
- Peter Dexheimer died on 2 November 1872 at age 77 in New York City, Borough of Manhattan, New York, at 104 West Houston at the home of his son Louis.
- He was interred on 3 November 1872 at Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, Kings County, New York.
- Green-Wood Cemetery Grave 1030 in Lot 17245 was purchased on 3 November 1872 for burial of Peter Dexheimer. Also buried in the grave: Jacob Dexheimer (brother of Peter's father) buried 7 June 1877 and Kate Derlick (Peter's daughter) interred 15 January 1889. Remains of Louis P.
