  • The following appeared on 23 May 1887 in the Columbus Enquirer: Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence of the bride's father, Mr. Harry H. Warner and Miss Allie Amanda Cameron were united in the bonds of holy matrimony. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Robert H. Harris in the presence of the families of the contracting parties and a few intimate friends. /P/ Mr. Warner is the son of our esteemed fellow-citizen Mr. L. P. Warner. He is a young gentleman of many sterling qualities. He is connected with the Southwestern railroad, and occupies the responsible position of freight clerk. By his integrity and energy he bids fair to win a high position in railroad circles. /P/ The bride is the second daughter of Dr. J. W. Cameron. Possessed of a lovely character, she has the admiration of all who know her. She is a bright and beautiful young lady. Decidedly intellectual, she has won the highest praise from her instructor, Prof. J. Harris Chappell, who says she was one of the quickest and best pupils he ever taught. /P/ The many friends of the happy young couple wish them joy, peace and happiness throughout their entire life. Immediately after the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Warner boarded the Opelika train for New Orleans, where they will spend a short honeymoon. The Enquirer-Sun is not the least of their friends who wish them a long life of love and prosperity.

  • The following appeared on 4 April 1903 in The Columbus Enquirer-Sun: The pretty home of Mr. Harry H. Warner, in Wynnton, was totally destroyed yesterday afternoon by fire. The fire started in the kitchen, about three oclock, and before it could be checked, the whole house was in flames. A hard wind was blowing about that time which made the fire more disastrous. All of the household effects and the clothing of the family was lost in the flames. Mr. Warner was at work when the fire broke out, and there were only his wife and little childen at the house at the time. /P/ As soon as the news spread that there was a fire in Wynnton all fo the men who reside in that neighborhood were on hand and began fighting fire in earnest, using buckets of water and wet blankets. By hard work the home of Mr. Andrew Shepherd next door was save, although the house caught several times. All the furniture in Mr. Shepherd's home was taken out, some of it brok up and misplaced, his losses will amount to nearly two hundred dollars. Mr. Werner had $1,000 of insurance, in a Hartford company, on his household effects. /P/ The house was owned Mr. Mr. Albert Sheperd and it also was insured [sic].
