Will be sold, on the First Tuesday in February, 1877, at the Lower Market House, in the city of Augusta, between the legal hours of sale, all that tract of land in Richmond county, Georgia, on McBean Creek, known as Rayse Mount Place, and containing eight hundred and eighty acres, more or less. Bounded north by I. T. Heard's land, east by David F. Dickinson's land, south and west by land of the estate of Lambeth Hopkins, being the same land for which a bond for titles, dated December 22, 1869, was given to Thomas Cosnahan by Wm. Hardman, and for which a deed has been made to Thomas J. Cosnahan, as Administrator of Thomas Cosnahan, filed and recorded in the Clerk's office of the Superior Court of said county, Book E. E. E., folios 181 and 182, on the second day of May, 1876, prior to this levy. Levied upon under and by virtue of a common law fi. fa., issuing from the County Court of Richmond county, in favor of Wm. Hardman against Thomas J. Cosnahan, as Administrator of Thomas Cosnahan, as the property of said Cosnahan, deceased, in the hands of said Administrator, being for the purchase money. Notice of levy served upon tenant in possession. Charles H. Sibley, Sheriff B. C.
- The following appeared on 13 January 1878 in The Chronicle & Constitutionalist: Richmond Sheriff's Sale. Will be sold, ad the Lower Market House, in the city of Augusta, on the first Tuesday in February, 1878, within the legal hours of sale, the following property, to-wit:
All that tract of land, lying and being on McBean creek, in the county of Richmond and State of Georgia, and known as the Rayse Mount place, containing 880 acres, more or less; bounded on the north by land of I. T. Heard, east by land of David F. Dickinson, south and west by lands of the estate of Lambeth Hopkins, being the same land for which a bond for titles, dated December 22, 1869, was given to Thomas Cosnahan by William Hardman, and for which a deed has been made to Thomas J. Cosnahan as administrator of Thomas Cosnahan, filed and recorded in the Clerk's office of the Superior Court of said county, Book E. E. E., folios 181 and 182, on the second day of May, 1876, prior to this levy. Levied upon by virtue of a fi. fa. issued from County Court of Richmond county in favor of William Hardman vs. Thomas J. Cosnahan as administrator of Thomas Cosnahan, for the balance of purchase money, said fi. fa. having been transferred by William Hardman to Thomas R. Rhodes.
Notice served upon William J. Hill, administrator de bonis non of Thomas Cosnahan, and on Thomas J. Cosnahan, in possession of the property. Chas. H. Sibley, Sheriff R. C. - Thomas James Cosnahan and Susannah D. Pickering appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1900 in Burke County, Georgia. Other members of the household included Mildred Cosnahan and William Pickering.
- Thomas James Cosnahan died on 20 January 1903 in Shell Bluff, Burke County, Georgia.
