- The following appeared on 16 December 1921 in The Galveston Daily News: Mrs. Joseph Graham Goldthwaite, for many years a prominent resident of Galveston, died at the home of her son, Charles goldthwaite, in Los Angeles, Dec. 12, according to advice received in Galveston yesterday. Funeral arrangements have not been announced. Mrs. Goldthwaite was one of the original members of the board of directors of the Training School for Nurses and also was a devoted worker in the guild of Trinity Episcopal Church for many years.
