Mrs. Shipley was born in Roanoke and had lived in Fort Worth for 44 years. She was a member of the Polytechnic United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Fort Worth Gem and Mineral Club and practiced the lapidary hobby for several years. Survivors: Husband of 49 years, Richard Lee Shipley of Fort Worth; and brother, Samuel E. Drosihn of Flint.
