- She married Hugh Hopper, son of James M. Hopper and Keturah Leah Powers, circa 1906.

- The following appeared on 31 December 1912 in The Montgomery Advertiser: (Marion Junction, Dec. 30) One of the most delightful affairs of the Christmas holidays was the reception tendered by Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hopper in compliment to their guests, Misses Shahan of Faunsdale, Misses Florence Bell and Louise Adams of Faunsdale and Miss Ethel Randall, who spent the week as the guests of Mrs. M. V. Waugh. Beautiful decorations, elaborate and artistic in detail, made a charming background for the attractive assembly.
Mrs. Hopper received her guests in a becoming dress of old rose charmeuse with gold trimmings.
Miss Adams was lovely in a pink charmeuse dressw with draperies of pink chiffon. Miss Florence Bell was a girlishly beautiful figure in lingerie over blue satin with pearl bandeau and French plume. Miss Randall was strikingly lovely in shell pink charmeuse satin with real lace draperies and rhinestone ornaments. Miss Shahan wore a lovely white frock with touches of American beauty satin.
The guests included the younger set who enjoyed dancing as only they know how after a season of college life. Late in the evening a plate luncheon was served and attractive tables where coffee and punch were dispersed were presided over by Misses Kathleen Smith and Price. The usual crowd was greatly augmented by the presence of the college boys and girls who voted Mrs. Hopper a most delightful hostess. - Hugh Hopper and Mabel R.
