- She married Franklin S. Richardson on 7 May 1913 in Manhattan, New York, at 154 East 70th Street, at the home of the bride's parents, with the Rev. Dr. Henry Van Dyke officiating.
- The following appeared on 8 May 1913 in the New York Herald: In the presence of relatives and friends and under an arbor of spring foliage Miss Caro Quartley Brown, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen H. Brown, was married yesterday afternoon at four o'clock at the home of her parents, No. 154 East Seventieth street, to Mr. Franklin S. Richardson, of this city.
The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dr. Henry Van Dyke, a friend of the bridegroom's family. The bride wore a gown of white satin and a veil of Limerick lace, which formed the train. The veil was held in place by a cornet of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet to white orchids.
Mrs. George W. Carpenter, Miss Angelica Schuyler Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Brown and a cousin of the bride, and Miss Ursula Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Hunter Brown, and not related to the bride, were the attendants. . . .
Mr. Sinclair Richardson was his brother's best man. The ushers were Messrs. Lawrence B. Rand, William R. Sinclair, E. Drexel Godfrey and Frederic C. Inman. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. Samuel W. Richardson. - Caro Quartley Brown became a widow at the 20 January 1964 death of her husband Franklin S. Richardson.

Richardson, of New York, retired textile broker and one of the oldest members of the St. Nicholas Society, on January 21, 1964 at age 83, husband of Caro Brown Richardson, father of Derek and Stanton Richardson and the late Mrs. Daphne Ferris, brother of Mrs. Laurance B. Rani and the late Sinclair Richardson. Funeral Service Friday at 10:30 A.M., The Brick Church, Park Ave. and 91st St. interment at Stonington Cemetery, Stonington, Conn.
