- Steve W. Keske was born on 26 December 1879 in Bremond, Robertson County, Texas.
- He married Martha Theresa Walda circa 1901.
- Steve W. Keske registered for the draft on 12 September 1918 in Harris County, Texas, while living with his wife Mattie at 505 Henley in Houston, and employed there as a carpenter by Midland Ship Company.
- The following appeared in a Houston newspaper: Mrs. Mary Caskie, 61, died at her home at 409 Beaver street at 4 a. m. Tuesday.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mattie Karonkie, and four sons, Joe Caskie of Gorman, Texas, S. Caskie of Marlin, Texas, and Steve and Ben Caskie of Houston, and 28 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph’s church at 9 a. m. Thursday. Rev. Father Thomas B. Banfield will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery under the direction of the Wall & Stabe Undertaking company. - Steve W. Keske registered for the draft on 27 April 1942 in Harris County, Texas, while living at 503 Henley in Houston, and employed there as a carpenter.
- The following appeared in a Houston newspaper: Word was received here Monday of the death of Stash Caskey, 74-year-old resident of a Marlin and former bridge builder for the Houston and Texas Central Railroad.
Mr. Caskey, who was born in Chicago, Ill., died in Marlin hospital about 4 a.m. Monday following an emergency operation. He had been a resident of Marlin for almost 65 years, and had been in the contracting business there since his retirement from the railroad.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Tekla Caskey of Marlin; four daughters, Mrs. Lula Baranski, Mrs. Marie Green, Miss Elizabeth Caskey, all of Houston, and Miss Lillie Caskey of Marlin; one son, William Caskey of Pasadena; a brother, Steve Caskey of Houston and three grandchildren. - Steve W. Keske died on 20 January 1953 at age 73 in Houston, Harris County, Texas, at 503 Henley at his residence.
- His wife Martha Theresa Walda became a widow at his death.
- He was interred at Holy Cross Cemetery, Houston, Harris County, Texas.
