• Sue Lewis Elmore died on 29 October 1958 at age 77 in Willis, Montgomery County, Texas, at Green Rest Home . Her death was officially witnessed by Emma Winifred Elmore.
• She was interred at Old Waverly Cemetery, Waverly, Walker County, Texas.
