The bride-elect is the maternal granddaughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Eugene Lowther Crawford. among her maternal ancestors are the Thorington, Tyler and Morgan families. Paternally, Miss Waller is the granddaughter of the late Judge and Mrs. Charles Edward Waller, whose families moved to Alabama from Cheraw, S. C. and Willimsburg, Va.
Miss Waller attended the University of Alabama, where she was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority.
Mr. Banks' grandparents on his maternal side are Mrs. Philip Barbour Minor and the late Mr. Minor of Eutaw. His paternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. James Oliver Banks of Eutaw.
Mr. Banks attended Castle Heights Military Academy and the University of the South before graduating from the University of Alabama, where he was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity.
The wedding will take place on April 24 in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Greensboro.
