  • The following appeared on 22 April 2014 in The Daily Sentinel: Frances "Sissy" Youman Nash Tucker was welcomed to this world on Jan. 18, 1936, by her loving parents David and Dorothy Nash in Garland, Ark. She passed away at home on Saturday, April 19, 2014, after a lengthy illness. Family and friends are invited to a rosary from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors. Visitation hours will be from 1 to 3 p.m. and a graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery, officiated by Monsignor James E. Young. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 51 years, Frank S. Tucker Sr; two sisters, Lura McGowen and Judy Nash; and brother-in-law, E.O. McGowen. She is survived by her son, Frankie Tucker of Nacogdoches; daughters, Rosine Watson of Louisiana, Amy Hale and husband, Brent, of Nacogdoches, and Dottie Shivers and husband, James, of Georgetown; sisters, Jean White and husband, Jim, of Kilgore, Shelly Turner and husband, Jerry, of Yantis, and Jo Nash of Dallas; brother, John Nash and wife, Jonetta, of Jasper; and sister-in-law, Susie Beall and husband, John, of Norman, Okla. She is survived by 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She cherished her family. Sissy had a very sweet nature and witty sense of humor. She was an avid reader and passed on her love of books to her grandchildren by spending countless hours reading to them. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers, Nadia Sifuentes and Diana Sifuentes. Their loving companionship allowed Sissy to remain at home on the farm she loved.
