Mrs. Percy was born in New York City, New York on Jan. 15, 1932, daughter of the late Edwin R. and Julia L. (Loving) Emanuel and was a area resident for most of her life.
         She was a retired assembler with Torin Co., retiring with many years of service. Diane was proud to be a military wife for twenty-one years, while her former husband, George D. Percy, Jr. served in the U.S. Navy.
         Survivors include three sons; George D. Percy, III of Souday Bay, Crete, Karl E. Percy of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Jonathan M. Percy of Torrington, two daughters; Pamela R. Perry and her husband, Michael, of Windsor and Vanessa R. Copija of Torrington, a brother; Dwight W. Emanuel of Hawaii, two sisters; Shirley L. Emanuel of Boston, Massachusetts and Cynthia S. Emanuel of Brooklyn, New York, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson; Gerald E. Fields, Jr.
         Memorial services will be held on Monday, Sept. 19, at 7 p.m., at the Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect Street, Torrington, with the Rev. Allen Latimore, officiating. Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington, will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Monday evening from 5 to 7 p.m.
