Eva Howell

Eva Howell was born on 1 April 1874.
She married George Westwood Cuninghame, son of William Cuninghame and Emma Armistead.
Eva Howell became a widow at the 26 August 1946 death of her husband George Westwood Cuninghame.
Eva Howell died on 17 November 1957 at age 83.
She was interred at Old Linden Cemetery, Linden, Marengo County, Alabama.
The following appeared in a local newspaper: Mrs. Eva Howell Cuninghame, 84, of Linden, died on Nov. 17, 1957, at 2:00 p.m.in the Dunn Rest Home in Selma, Ala., where she had been an invalid for several months.
     Funeral services were held at the Linden Baptist Church on Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. Joe H. Patterson officiating. Mrs. Cuninghame had been a member of this church since 1888.
     Burial was in the Old Linden Cemetery beside the grave of her husband, the late George Westwood Cuninghame, who preceded her in death eleven years.
     Active pall bearers were J.G. Cuninghame, J.E. Cuninghame, J.C. Martin, H.D. Todd, Jack Torbert, and Roy D. Hartzell, Jr.
     Honorary pall bearers were F.M. Jones, R.E. Sutton, R.J. Westbrook, John Drinkard, Clarence Glass, W.F. Stallworth, J.T. Brown, and M.F. Law.
     The daughter of the late Irven and Melissa Breckenridge Howell, she was born at Nanafalia on April 1, 1874. She and her widowed mother moved to Linden in her early girlhood.
