Mr. Parker was a retired businessman.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Hubert Outlaw of Wrightsville, Mrs. Chester McDonald of Lakeland, Fla., and Mrs. Tom Porter Jr. of San Antonio, Tex; four sisters, Mrs. B. A. Moye and Mrs. L. M. Barren of Dublin, Mrs. W. A. Scarborough of Sandersville, and Mrs. Jim Knight of Coolidge, Ga; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 4 p.m. at Brown Memorial Baptist Church here. Burial will be a Boiling Springs Cemetery. Rev. R. C. Smith will officiate. - Emma Claude Parker became a widow at the January 1963 death of her husband James Shadrach Kight.
- The following appeared on 16 May 1966 in the Thomasville Times-Enterprise: (Coolidge) Members of Circle No. 1 of the Coolidge Baptist Church have voted unanimously to change the name of their group to Claudie Kight Circle in honor of Mrs. J. S. Kight, formerly of Coolidge and Thomasville.
Mrs. Kight was described as "a faithful and devoted member of Circle No. 1 for more than 25 years."
She now makes her home with her daughter, Mrs. Foster Jordan in Birmingham, Ala.
The Claudie Kight Circle will hold a combined meeting with Circle No. 2 at 9:30 a. m. Thursday at the home of Mrs. A. R. Dekle Jr.
Mrs. Eric Reneau will be guest speaker. - Emma Claude Parker died on 19 April 1971 at age 87 in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama.
