- Hyman Davidson registered for the draft in 1942 while living at 108 Hild? Place in New York City, employed by New York Life Insurance Company, 51 Madison Avenue. He names as contact his sister Ida Davidson, at 2789 Valentine Avenue. According to his draft registration, he was born in "Wishnero."
- A clue to the Russian origins of the Davidson family may be found in the birthplaces provided on draft registration cards of Hyman Davidson (Wishnero) and his nephew Isadore Davidson (Vishnevo), and Ida Davidson's 1939 naturalization documents (Vishnowe, Poland).
