Rossignol, who struck on his back in the dive and went down before help could reach him, attempted the stunt for the entertainment of a beach resort crowd.

Friends may call at the Mattingly Funeral Home, Leonardtown Md. on Friday, May 8 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where prayers will be said at 8 p.m. Additional viewing for friends Saturday, May 9 after 8 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday, May 9 at 9:30 a.m., in Our Lady's Church, Medley's Neck, Md. Interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Georgia Ave., Wheaton, Md. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Associaiton.
