• The following appeared on 20 February 1944 in The Augusta Chronicle: Mrs. Leatha Knight Cosnahan, wife of the late F. A. Cosnahan, died yesterday at the residence, 1414 Cooper street, after an illness of three weeks. Funeral services will be held at Berlin Baptist church, McBean, Ga., this afternoon at 5 o'clock. The Rev. E. P. Eubanks will officiate. Interment will be in the family cemetery at McBean.
       Pallbearers: N. L. Peek, Doley Peek, H. P. Shaw, C. B. Shaw, J. O. Collins and W. E. Fulcher.
       Survivors are two sons, Robert Cosnahan, McBean, and Olin Cosnahan, Augusta; three daughters, Mrs. Julia Averett, Augusta; Mrs. F. V. Tilly and Mrs. E. A. Allen, McBean; 13 grandchildren; one great grandchild; half-brother Malachi Smith, Virginia, and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Mary Cosnahan, Augusta.
