• Walter B. Yeager was born circa 1879 in Alabama.
• David D. Yeager and Laura Shields Adams appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1880 in Linden, Marengo County, Alabama. Other members of the household included Walter B. Yeager, Josie Yeager, Felix Grundy Adams and Walter Benjamin Adams. They were enumerated at the jail where David Yeager was sheriff, and also counted with the household were the deputy sheriff, cook, and prisoners. Apparently Felix' wife Sally was living in Waller County, Texas, but she is not enumerated with her sister Roberta.
