• Lucretia Harrison was born circa 1827 in Tennessee or probably Illinois.
• It is an educated guess that Lucretia Harrison was the daughter of Joseph Harrison and Lucy Burch, named for her mother and sent to live with relatives after Lucy's death, then traveled to Illinois with others in the Burch family. However, researcher Robert Buecher has Lucretia's birth in Illinois, parents George Frederick Harrison (born Belfast, Ireland) and Rhoda Quick. It is noteworthy that Tennessee is only recorded as her birthplace in the 1850 census, elsewhere Illinois. Consequently, it now seems unlikely that she was the daughter of Joseph and Lucy Burch Harrison.
• Lucretia Harrison appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1850 in Belleville, St. Clair County, Illinois, living in the household of W. F. Boyakin, a minister born in North Carolina.
• She married Jesse Davis on 29 May 1851 in St. Clair County, Ilinois.
• Jesse Davis and Lucretia Harrison appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1860 in Mascoutah, St. Clair County, Illinois, and also James Thompson, John Pennwell, and John Harrison, apparently farm laborers.. Other members of the household included Laura E. Davis, Susana E. Davis, Sarah J. Davis, Rhoda Cornelia Davis and Ida Vermitelli Davis. While Lucretia may be a candidate for daughter of Joseph Harrison and Lucy Burch, the unknown John Harrison, age 42, appears to be evidence to the contrary.
• Jesse Davis and Lucretia Harrison appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1870 in Smithton, St. Clair County, Illinois. Other members of the household included Laura E. Davis, Susana E. Davis, Sarah J. Davis, Rhoda Cornelia Davis, Ida Vermitelli Davis and Rebecca Davis.
• Lucretia Harrison appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1880 in St. Clair County, Illinois. Other members of the household included Susana E. Davis, Rhoda Cornelia Davis, Rebecca Davis, S. Edward Davis and Lucretia Davis.
• She was a farmer, according to the 1880 census.
