  • Joseph J. Losier married Emma Francisca Cameron, daughter of John William Cameron and Catharine A. Frances Smith, on 10 August 1899 in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, at the First Baptist Church.
  • The following appeared on 11 August 1899 in The Columbus Enquirer-Sun:
         The First Baptist church was the scene of a quiet and very pretty wedding ceremony at 11 o'clock yesterday morning at which time Miss Emma Francisca Cameron and Mr. Joseph Losier were united in marriage. The ceremony was performed in the presence of a number of friends of the young people by Rev. Mr. Bussey.
         The bride is the daughter of the late Dr. J. W. Cameron and comes of a Scottish family of ancient and honorable lineage. She is a very pretty and highly accomplished young lady and great favorite with a large circle of friends.
         The groom, Mr. Losier, is a prominent business man of Jackson, Tenn., and is a gentleman of refinement and culture. The young couple begin life under the most favorable auspices, and their friends hope for them a happy and successful future.
