Widows Mary Venable and Dora Mathews are identified as sisters, but they actually were sisters-in-law. Also in the household, identified as Gilford grandchildren, are Ella (age 14), Nathaniel (11), Orange (8), and Oscar (4). In fact, all of the grandchildren in the household are identified with the surname Gilford.
