• Mother: Eleanor Long b. circa 1804, d. 31 October 1837

• Dorcas Mae Cude was born on 21 August 1828 in Alabama.
• She married Elisha Willis Winters, son of James Washington Winters and Rhoda Creel Beal, circa 1844, and Dorcas later married Elisha's brother Billington. It is worthy of note that Dorcas' sister Sylvania married Elisha's brother Benjamin, and that Dorcas' father married second Elisha's and Billington's sister Lillie.
• She married Billington Taylor Winters, son of James Washington Winters and Rhoda Creel Beal, on 25 April 1848 in Walker County, Texas, with James H. Jones, JP, officiating. Dorcas was first married to Billington's brother Elisha. It is worthy of note that Dorcas' sister Sylvania married Billington's brother Benjamin. and that Dorcas' father married second Elisha's and Billington's sister Lillie.
• Requires further research to determine whether Dorcas was a widow when she married Billington Winters, and who was the father of Billington Jr.
• Billington Taylor Winters and Dorcas Mae Cude appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1850 in Walker County, Texas, enumerated between Billington's brother John and Darcas' brother James Cude.. Other members of the household included James Winters, Billington Taylor Winters Jr. and Ben Winters.
• Dorcas Mae Cude died on 14 May 1896 at age 67 in Frio County, Texas.
• She was interred at Moore Cemetery, Frio County, Texas.
