• The following appeared on 18 July 1920 in The Montgomery Advertiser: Mrs. Eason Thweatt Cook, a bride of June 30, who was before her marriage the attractive and lovely Ella Holt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward R. Holt. Miss Holt's wedding to Mr. Cook was a brilliant social event of the sumer, and was beautifully solemnized at St. John's Episcopal Church. • The following appeared on 28 November 1922 in The Montgomery Advertiser: Mr. and Mrs. Eason Cook (Ella Holt) are receiving congratulations upon the arrival of a little daughter on Monday morning.
• Eason Thweatt Cook Jr. and Mary Ella Holt appeared in the US federal census of 1 April 1930 in Montgomery, Alabama, at 200 Woodward Avenue. Other members of the household included Sara Elizabeth Cook.
• Mary Ella Holt and Eason Thweatt Cook Jr. appeared in the US federal census of 1 April 1940 in Opelika, Lee County, Alabama, at 801 Fourth Avenue. Other members of the household included Sara Elizabeth Cook. In 1935 the family was living in Montgomery.
• The following appeared on 31 January 1943 in the Richmond Times-Dispatch: (Lynchburg) Mr. and Mrs. Eason T. Cook, of Opelika, Ala., announce the engagement of their daughter, Sara Elizabeth, to James L. Ford, sergeant, ground crew, United States Army Air Force, stationed at Avon Park, Fla. Mr. Ford is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Klah T. Ford of Lynchburg.
       The wedding will take place Thursday, March 11, in the First Methodist Church, Opelika.
• The following appeared on 17 March 1943 in the Richmond Times-Dispatch: (Lynchburg) Miss Sara Elizabeth Cook, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eason Thweatt Cook, Jr., of Opelika, Ala., and Sergeant James Lewis Ford, of the Army Air Force, son of Mr. and Mrs. Klah T. Ford of Lynchburg, were married march 11 in Trinity Methodist Church, Opelika. The Rev. J. O. Grogan, D. D., the pastor, officiated.
       The bride was given in marriage by her father. In her wedding party were Mrs. Douglas Butler, of Opelika, and Miss Elizabeth Hall, of Montgomery; Misses Peggy Holt, of Charlotte, N. C., and Mary Pearson, of Opelika. Anne Moreman and Randy White, Jr., were the ring bearers.
       Volney Howard Ford, of Lynchburg, was his brother's best man.
• Mary Ella Holt became a widow at death of her husband Eason Thweatt Cook Jr.
• Mary Ella Holt died on 16 September 1982 at age 87.
• She was interred at Oakwood Cemetery, Montgomery, Alabama.
