Denson (age 13), William B. Denson (12), and Willis B. Darby (7). It is worthy of note that Moses Davis is enumerated in the 1850 census next to the household of Charles S. Pegues, brother of Marcia Pegues Vanorden.

Baldwin, Moses & Mr Davis, Mr Remley, Mr Moseley & Mr Norton from Desoto Parrish Louisiana to Dinner. (Emily Amanda Baldwin Davis was the sister of William Owen Baldwin, and their first cousin Marion Augustus Baldwin's wife's sister was the wife of Henry Marshall Elmore.)

  • The following appeared on 24 March 1886 in The Galveston Daily News: (Waco, March 23) Mrs. Amanda Davis, a venerable and universally beloved lady, died this morning at the residence of Dr. J. S. Willis. Her sons, Colonel Wm. B. Denson, of Galveston, and Mr. Joe. Davis, of Dayton, Tex., reached here on Sunday. Her daughter, Mrs. Dr. Willis, and her husband were telegraphed to in California, but can not reach here.
