Mrs. Cuninghame was born February 22, 1866 in Linden where her entire life was spent. She was the daughter of Henry Ashby Woolf and Frances Gholson Woolf.
On January 31, 1888, she was married to William Cuninghame who was later to become distinguished in the legal profession, business and financial circles, and as a leader in the civic and public affairs of his town and county, with whom she lived happily for many years until his death a few years ago.
She was a member of the Linden Baptist Church, which she joined in early life and was one of its most faithful and devoted members. Through the years she served as teacher in the Sunday School and leader in woman's work serving her Master with consecration, which extended her influence for good far beyond her immediate circle. To unusual ability and culture she added gentleness and charm which won for her the love and esteem of those who knew her. Seeking only the good in others, over their faults she always cast the mantle of Christian charity, and her greatest joy was found in opportunities to serve others and help them to better and nobler ideals of life. In her passing Linden has lost one of its most valuable citizens.
