Uriah Haynie
b. circa 1792, d. circa 1 July 1830
- Uriah Haynie was born circa 1792.
- He married Dialthea Cook Perry, daughter of Sion Perry and Bertheny Arundell, circa 1816.
- It is an educated guess that Uriah Haynie received compensation in Tennessee in 1821 for services during the War of 1812.
- Research Note: Based on the birthplaces of their children as recorded in the censuses, it appears that the family moved from Tennessee to Alabama sometime between 1828 and 1830.
- His wife Dialthea Cook Perry became a widow at his death.
- Uriah Haynie died circa 1 July 1830.
- It seems likely that John Alexander Haynie and Emmett Albert Haynie were closely related, married to sisters Sallie and Annie McCune, and both residents of Grimes County. Perhaps their grandfathers John and Uriah Haynie were brothers. -- Can anyone shed any light on this?
