Fisher, owner of the former Fisher's Poultry Farm in Durham, died Sunday in Jordanville, N.Y., at the age of 79. /P/ In 1978, he moved from Durham to Jordanville after the death of his wife, Edith M. Dexheimer Fisher. /P/ Mr. Fisher operated the farm from the early 1950s to the mid 1960s. He also worked as a foreman for Durham Manufacturing Co., from which he retired in June 1978. /P/ Mr. Fisher was a past member of the Connecticut Farm Bureau. /P/ The funeral will be Thursday, 11 a.m., at the Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown, with the Rev. Canon Kenneth L. Ornell of the Church of the Epiphany, Durham, officiating. Burial at a later date will be in Durham Cemetery. Friends may call at the Biega Funeral Home Wednesday, 7-9 p.m.
  • The following appeared on 11 February 2002 in the Middlefield Town Times: Gladys Brys, 85, formerly of Birch Mill Road, Durham, wife of the late Michael Brys, died Monday, January 28, in Panama City, FL. /P/ She was born in Bronxville, NY on June 19, 1916, daughter of the late Joseph and Leona (Cusick) Dexheimer and attended the Durham Schools. /P/ Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the State of Connecticut. She was a past president of the Durham 60+ Club and a member of Durham Grange #57 and a member of the Church of the Epiphany for 40 years. /P/ She leaves a son, Myron Camozzi of Deep River; a daughter, Leona Camozzi of Middletown; a brother, Warren Heidenis of Port Charlotte, FL; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
