         He was born in England, Aug. 9, 1859 and had been employed here as a silver polisher. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Annie Prowton; a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Worthington, Toronto; two step-sons, Herbert Everett and William Everett, both of Sherrill; also several grandchildren.
         He attended Gethsemane Episcopal Church.

  • The following appeared on 14 October 1957 in the Utica Daily Press: (Sherrill) William (Rosie) Everett, 66, 139 Pexton St., died Oct. 11, 1957, in Oneida City Hospital after a brief illness.
         He was born in Canada Jan. 22, 1891, the son of James and Annie Laing Everett. He came to make his home in Sherrill in 1914.
         Before retirement, he was a stockhandler at Oneida Ltd. Mr. Everett was a veteran of World War I, a member of Sherrill American Post 230, and of the Community Associated Clubs.
         Survivors include an aunt, Mrs. Elizabeth Laing, Oneida; several cousins, a nephew, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Herbert Everett, Sherrill.
         The funeral service was held at 2 p. m. yesterday at the Craig W. Crowell Funeral Home with the Rev. Berl A. Lewis officiating. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery, Oneida.
